Shohini Chakraborty is currently a junior at Folsom High School. She has been involved in community service since very young. She loves serving the Mercy Folsom Hospital every week. She is the co-chair of Project ADAM which is involved in free heart screening of youth in the Greater Sacramento area in collaboration with UC Davis and Kyle J Taylor Foundation. Even with her busy schedule, she loves teaching music to kids with neurodiversity. She plans to study and pursue a career in neuroscience coupled with the power of music. Her drive toward spreading positive messages is what inspired her to organize the TEDx Youth event at Folsom High School.

Mr. Castro is the current activities director and a social science teacher at Folsom High School. He has been an educator for 20 years and has taught multiple subjects including history, government, economics, psychology, leadership and film. He is very excited to work with this amazing group of students to bring TEDx Youth to Folsom High.

Maureen Harris: Maureen Harris has long been interested in public speaking. She was a founding member and one-time President of the San Juan Speaks Toastmasters Club, achieving Distinguished Toastmaster. Since coming to work at Folsom High School she has had the pure pleasure of working with FHS Academic Decathlon team on their prepared speeches and impromptu speeches for the last two seasons.

Avanti Ramraj: Avanti Ramraj is a sophomore at Stanford University where she is studying Human Biology and Public Policy, pursuing a career in medicine and health policy. In 2021 she spoke for TEDx Folsom and was inspired to continue making an impact on youth via speaker coaching/mentorship. She is committed to helping people find their voice and share their amazing stories.

Anna Rohrbough: Anna Rohrbough was elected to the Folsom City Council, District 5, in November 2022. Anna holds economics and political science degrees from the University of Washington. Her professional background is in business, including working with the John Maxwell Team as a leadership trainer and speaker coach. She is an accomplished speaker and has delivered a talk on the TEDx stage. She continues to work as a consultant to empower courageous confident leaders in many different fields.

Sound: Bryan Cooper*: Bryan Cooper has served as the Theater Production Specialist for Folsom High School for the last 10 years and has been in the production industry for 25 years. Prior to that, he has worked at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis, Tacoma Actor’s Guild, The Empty Space Theater, and is a former member of IATSE Local 15.

Prachi Meghani: Prachi is an ambitious junior at FHS with visions of pursuing research in psychology and earning a PhD in neuroscience. Despite her demanding schedule, she finds pleasure in singing, working out, and indulging in skincare.

Keelan Christensen*: Keelan is a Folsom High School graduate currently attending Folsom Lake College. They do theatre lighting design, electrician work, and make funny jokes on headset.
