Donna "BasicTaq" Walters is an award-winning founder and Executive Director of College Esports, a nonprofit focused on promoting project-based learning through video games. She is also a co-founder of the California Esports Association, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering educators to create sustainable, engaging, and inclusive esports and video game programs. She has partnered with organizations such as the City of Rancho Cordova, University of the Pacific, California State University system, California State Fair, San Jose Sharks, Sacramento Kings' Golden 1 Center, professional esports organizations NRG and Gen G, and more, to develop impactful esports initiatives. A frequent speaker at national conferences, Donna shares her expertise in both esports and higher education as a speaker, moderator, panelist, and event host. Recently, she joined Folsom High School as a Computer Science teacher, using her expertise in online spaces to inspire students through career-building opportunities that connect with their interests and technology-based experiences. Her passion for esports and commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion have made a lasting impact on students and educators globally. Samara Shaheen is a sophomore at Folsom High School with an interest in computer science, data science, and technology. As a former speaker in TedxFHS last year, she delivered a speech on the impact of introspective leadership. She enjoys mentoring and giving back, and so she has returned this year to TedXFHS as Co-Organizer & Website Manager. In her free time, some of Samara's favorite things to do are playing her electric guitar & violin, reading, and skateboarding. Passionate about leveraging technology and leadership to make a positive impact, Samara hopes to continue to lead and inspire through platforms like TEDx. 

Hi! My name is Dhanya Papanasa, and I am the organizer for TEDxFolsomHighSchoolYouth 2026. My journey with TEDxFolsomHighSchoolYouth began my freshman year, when I was a speaker sharing my message about the secret ingredient to life. Now, as an organizer, I love bringing ideas to life through our theme Ignite, creating a space where people feel inspired to step forward and take action. I work behind the scenes to coordinate speakers, manage a team, and ensure every part of the event comes together seamlessly. Outside of TEDx, I am an avid dancer and run my own club, performing at various events, while also participating in Speech and Debate and SkillsUSA. I’m deeply involved in my language community, where I teach younger students Tamil and share my passion for dance. On weekends, you can usually find me studying or curled up with a good book. I’m truly honored to be your organizer and hope you enjoy our event!
