Yihan Duan is a 14 year old student characterized by her boundless curiosity, intense perseverance, and never-ending thirst for knowledge. She is a dedicated coder, athlete, instructor, high-level pianist, speech and debater, science enthusiast, and a natural leader. In her free time, Yihan immerses herself in fiction, finance, and astrophysics books. Her favorite hobby is traveling because it always brings new adventures and connections with new people. 

Passionate about communication and learning, she sees how saying “hello” is a powerful act that opens doors, builds empathy, and sparks change. In her TEDx talk, Yihan encourages audiences to recognize that one simple word, like saying “hello”, can have the power to change the world.
