In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxFolsom High School Youth, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxFolsom High School Youth event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

About the TEDxFolsom High School Youth Event

The event features the theme "Unleash" where the speakers will unleash their abundant inner strength, struggles, determination, attitude, empathy, power, and many other traits that helps them in their day-to-day life and contributed to their success.  The speakers are encouraged to be mindful of the overall balance of the program, including a wide-range of ideas. The proposed talk ideas will be diverse in nature. 

TEDxFolsom High School Youth will be the first TEDx Youth event at Folsom High. "Unleash:" The speakers are ready to unleash their inner selves and bring out their hearts to mesmerize you on various topics. They are prepared to bring change to the community, to spread their ideas effectively, and to motivate you, the audience. The event's purpose is also to give the high school students a platform to express their stories and emotions and show their spark to the community. They are ready to stand alongside the adults and unleash the hidden power.

The student volunteers and teachers are eager to make this event memorable so that future FHS students are encouraged to participate and take charge of similar events in the future. Prepare to unleash your emotions and be enthralled with great, entertaining talks and performances!
